Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar’s daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni has fallen prey to a ‘cybercrime incident’. A fake Instagram account of Sitara has been created which has not only been ‘fraudulently posing’ as Mahesh Babu’s daughter but has also been sending trading and investment links to users on the platform.
On Saturday, Sitara’s mother Namrata shared the official statement by Mahesh Babu’s team regarding the incident and warned the impersonator of strict action. “Attention! This is @sitaraghattamaneni’s only account. Any other handle is not to be trusted except the verified one,” she wrote.
In the statement, Mahesh Babu’s team shared that police officials are already looking into the matter and are taking all possible measures to nab the person who created Sitara’s fake account. “The Madhapur police, in connection with Team GMB, have issued a warning about a cybercrime incident involving the impersonation of Ms Sitara Ghattamaneni on Instagram. An unidentified user has been fraudulently posing as Ms. Ghattamaneni, sending trading and investment links to unsuspecting users,” the statement read.

“Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the individual responsible for these activities to prevent future occurrences,” it added.
Sitara made her acting debut with Mahesh Babu’s 2022 movie Sarkaru Vaari Paata. She was also seen dancing her heart out with her father in the film’s song, Penny.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu was last seen in Guntur Kaaram. Next, he will be collaborating with director SS Rajamouli for a movie which is tentatively titled SSMB29. After RRR, this will be Rajamouli’s next project. As per media reports, the Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is being considered as the lead heroine of the movie. Rajamouli has already announced that the story will be an adventure thriller set in the backdrop of Africa. The movie will be made on a huge scale with the highest technical standards. The film is expected to be a pan-India movie.
