Salman Khan’s Security Heightened After Lawrence Bishnoi Threats; Sikandar Film Shooting To Go On
Salman Khan's security has been significantly reinforced following the tragic death of his close friend Baba Siddique and ongoing threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Actor Salman Khan’s security has been significantly increased following the tragic death of his close friend Baba Siddique, a Nationalist Congress Party leader, who was killed by three assailants on October 12, 2024. Khan, already under Y-plus security, is now receiving additional protection due to escalating threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Despite these dangers, the actor remains committed to filming Sajid Nadiadwala’s action movie Sikandar, with heightened security on set.

Previously, reports surfaced that Salman had canceled his shoots to attend Siddique’s funeral, sparking rumors that his schedule might be disrupted. However, according to Hindustan Times, Khan’s manager dismissed the rumors as “not true.” A source close to the film also confirmed that the actor’s security has been enhanced, even during filming.

While Salman has always had a security team, an extra 8 to 10 personnel have recently been added to his detail, and they conduct thorough reconnaissance before his arrival. Although minor adjustments to the shooting schedule have occurred over the past few days, the disruptions have been minimal, and the film’s wrap-up, initially expected by November or December, will now likely conclude by January 2025. The source emphasized that ensuring everyone’s safety is the top priority.

In a separate report by India Today, it was revealed that Salman’s security team has also been reinforced with an additional eight to ten armed police officers. The Mumbai Police have established a command center at his residence, Galaxy Apartments, with constant patrols and AI surveillance cameras monitoring all entrances to detect any suspicious activity.

Barricades have also been installed outside the building, preventing unauthorized visits, public gatherings, or people attempting to take selfies. Similar security measures have been extended to Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel, further ensuring his protection.

Meanwhile, Sikandar, featuring an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, and Kajal Aggarwal, is set to hit theaters during Eid 2025.
