New Delhi: Alongside its third-generation Mi TV 3 with 4K display, Xiaomi has announced a new main board that transforms any display into a smart TV.
The Mi TV main board sports a metal body with aluminium panels and transforms TVs, displays, or projectors into a smart TV.
The main board is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI layered atop. It features the MStar 6A928 flagship 4K TV processor and is powered by Quad-Core 1.4GHz Cortex-A17 chipset with 2 GB DDR3 RAM.
The Mi TV main board is a combination of speakers, main board, and Mi Box into one. The built-in speakers with Dolby Audio technology offer virtual surround, deeper bass, dialogue enhancer and auto volume balance. With the main board, users can transform any TV into a Mi TV 3.
The Mi TV main board is priced at RMB 999.
Xiaomi is offering add-on accessories with the main board, including a 6.5-inch Mi Subwoofer in full aluminium body and a Bluetooth voice remote control. The subwoofer is priced at RMB 599 while the remote control is available at RMB 99.
