Travel vlogging is the new big thing, with countless content creators capturing their unique perspectives on destinations worldwide. Recently, during their journey through India, British vloggers Reanne and Ben uncovered a touching moment. On their Instagram, they shared a heartwarming video in which an elderly local man negotiated with an e-rickshaw driver ensuring the duo received the best deal.
In the viral video from Bihar’s Patna, the vloggers when asked an e-rickshaw driver about the fare, quoted a high amount. However, the situation quickly turned around when an elderly man stepped in. Speaking in the local language, he negotiated with the driver urging him to agree or risk losing the fare to another auto. After some negotiation, the elderly man secured a fair price of Rs 100 for the ride. As they sat in the e-rickshaw, he kindly reminded the vloggers not to pay more than the agreed amount. He also advised the driver to treat them well as guests ensuring they reached their destination safely.
One of the vloggers, explaining the whole incident at the end of the video, said, “I think Patna could be my favourite place. The people are so nice and helpful. Not many people speak English here, so a kind local saw we were a little stuck with a tuk-tuk driver and kind of gave him a little bit of a lecture. I heard the word guest so I think saying don’t try and rip our guests off.”
The caption accompanying the video read, “This How They Treat You in Patna, India.”
